Citizens eligible to apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa include nationals of: all European Union member states, all European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries, Algeria, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, the Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Djibouti, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vatican City, and Vietnam.
Azerbaijan offers visa-free entry to citizens of 27 countries and visa-on-arrival facilities for 11 nationalities.
How to Apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa
To apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa, eligible travellers must hold a passport that remains valid for at least three months beyond the expiry date of the eVisa. The application process is completed entirely online through the official eVisa portal, where applicants must complete the application form and pay the visa fee using a credit or debit card.
Applicants need to provide a scanned copy of their passport and accommodation details in Azerbaijan. Once approved, the eVisa can be downloaded and printed or saved electronically for presentation upon arrival. Immigration authorities will verify the traveller’s passport and eVisa details at the border before granting entry into Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan eVisa Fees, Processing Time and Validity
The Azerbaijan eVisa fee depends on the processing option selected. The standard eVisa costs $20, plus an additional $9 service fee, and is typically processed within 3 working days. For travellers who need their visa sooner, the urgent Azerbaijan eVisa is available for $60, plus the $9 service fee, and is processed within approximately 3 hours, including holidays and non-working days.
Both standard and urgent Azerbaijan eVisas have the same validity conditions: they are valid for 90 days from the date of issue and allow a single stay of up to 30 days in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijan eVisa is valid for the Azerbaijan mainland and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Additional special permits are required for the Karabakh region.
